After watching the blog video, I believe that there is no text worth risking sending after seeing the outcome of Heather because you could wind of being killed like she did. Watching the video changed a little bit of feeling of texting and driving because before watching this I knew it was a bad thing to do and know after watching it, it just reemphasized how bad it really could be. If you are caught texting and driving there should be stricter penalties because then it really proves a point to get people to stop like drunk driving where you could get thrown in jail if found buzzed. The people that are affected by texting and driving are one the drivers you share the road with because by texting and driving you could be a hazard towards others, and two your loved ones who are at home and care about you. If they found out that you died from car accident from texting and driving like Heather they would be very sad and frustrated just like Heather’s parents.

First, I do not believe any text is worth risking what happened to Heather. If the text was really important, just pull over or find a safe place to respond. Risking her life or others is not worth one text message. This video didn’t really change how I feel about texting and driving, because I already know how dangerous the action is. Additionally, I will not ever text and drive even more so after watching this video due to the fact that I will risk my life and the lives of others. I think the penalties for drivers who are caught texting and driving are enough, however if law officials see that it is necessary to make greater penalties for texting and driving, I would not object. Furthermore, I think it is more of a matter of enforcing the law surrounding texting and driving than the penalty, because I believe that if more teens saw people they know being pull over for texting and driving they will do less of it. When someone texts and drives they are putting not only their own life in danger, but the lives of everyone around them while they do it, physically and emotionally. Especially, family and friends.

I believe that any text is not worth risking your life. Heather lost her life by sending out unnecessary texts to a friend that could of just been done when she reached home. I thought after watching this video it changed my perspective that texting and driving can kill you. Seeing how heart broken Heather’s parents were shows me not to act so stupid and not to put my parents in that state of grief. Next, I think there should be striker laws on texting and driving. I feel teens probably just look past that law and feel that they won’t be caught. I believe the penalties should be more severe when caught so texting and driving will stop. Finally, texting and driving affects everyone on the road around you because they could get in an accident with you. Also, text and driving affects all family who have to deal with stress and grief from you getting a ticket, injury, or death as the result of texting and driving.
